This policy describes the mobile information practices of J. Thompson Salons ("we," "us," "our") in connection with our internal SMS notification program. This program sends automated text messages to the salon owner when a client intake form is submitted on this website. The sole recipient of these messages is the salon owner. Customer phone numbers collected through the intake form on jthompsonsalons.com/book.html are used solely for the owner to follow up by phone or text from her personal device and are not enrolled in this SMS program.
For this SMS program, we collect and retain only the mobile phone number of the salon owner and a record of her opt-in consent. We do not collect mobile information from website visitors, prospective clients, or customers for use in this SMS program.
The salon owner's mobile number is used exclusively to send her automated SMS alerts when a new client intake form is submitted on this website. The messages contain the client's name, phone number, and a brief summary so the owner can respond promptly. Mobile information is not used for marketing, advertising, or any purpose other than delivering these notifications.
No mobile information (including phone numbers and opt-in data) is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the messaging service provider (Twilio) that delivers the SMS messages on our behalf, and only to the extent necessary to deliver those messages. We do not sell, rent, or trade mobile information under any circumstances.
Message frequency varies based on the volume of client intake form submissions. There is no fixed schedule. On a typical week, the salon owner receives between zero and ten messages from this program.
Message and data rates may apply. The mobile carrier of the recipient determines what those rates are. We are not responsible for any charges incurred from receiving SMS messages.
The salon owner may stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from the program. After replying STOP, no further messages will be sent until the owner re-enrolls.

Opt-in records and message logs are retained for as long as needed to operate the program and to comply with applicable laws. Records may be deleted upon written request to the email address above, subject to any legal retention requirements.
The SMS program operates on all major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued participation in the SMS program after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
